A Refined Renovation in Coral Cove: A Home Reimagined with Purpose
Nestled along the coastline of Coral Cove, this full home renovation brings a fresh sense of calm, comfort, and masculine warmth to a much-loved family home. With beautiful views across the golf course, lakes, and ocean, the setting was undeniably special — but inside, the home no longer reflected the lifestyle or personality of its owners.
My role was to reimagine the layout, elevate each space, and bring a sense of flow, functionality, and quiet luxury back into the home. The result is a refined blend of ease and modern sophistication, layered with thoughtful details that support everyday living.
DESIGNING A HOME THAT FEELS CONNECTED
The original floor plan had great potential but wasn’t making the most of the home’s size or views. Several spaces were underutilised, while others felt closed off or disconnected. Through careful planning, we reshaped the layout to create clearer sightlines, better flow, and purposeful transitions between each area.
This included updating room positioning, improving pathways between key spaces, and establishing stronger visual connections between the kitchen, living zones, outdoor areas, and the stunning natural outlook.
A KITCHEN DESIGNED FOR GATHERING
Positioned at the heart of the home, the double-island kitchen became the anchor for the entire renovation. A refined palette of timber tones, black cabinetry, stone features, and architectural details such as timber battens and a dropped ceiling help define the space without overwhelming it.
One island is dedicated to cooking and prep, while the second creates a social hub for conversation, casual meals, and everyday connection. Integrated appliances, hidden pantry access, and layered materials ensure the kitchen remains both functional and beautifully streamlined.
BATHROOMS, BEDROOMS & EVERYDAY SPACES ELEVATED
Every space was treated with the same level of intention:
The ensuite now feels like a calm retreat with layered lighting, rich tile tones, and practical features like dual showers, recessed storage, and a freestanding bath.
The walk-in robe was redesigned with custom joinery to maximise storage and bring a sense of quiet order to the daily routine.
The mudroom and laundry were reworked for seamless practicality, adding much-needed organisation and everyday flow.
The bar and lounge now feel open, warm, and inviting, encouraging connection whether relaxing or entertaining.
Each space contributes to the home’s overall rhythm — calm, cohesive, and grounded in purposeful design.
BLENDED LIFESTYLE, ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DETAIL
This renovation wasn’t simply about updating finishes; it was about redefining how the home functions. The palette is neutral but layered, with texture, warmth, and thoughtful joinery tying everything together. Every detail was selected for both beauty and longevity, ensuring the home feels elevated yet completely liveable.
Through strong collaboration between client, builder, and designer, the Coral Cove Renovation now feels like a true sanctuary — a place that celebrates its coastal surroundings while supporting the everyday moments that matter most.
